Welcome to the Shine a Light Project blog where we share tales from the stored collections of Norfolk Museums Service. Based primarily on the objects at The Norfolk Museums Collection Centre,  our blog aims to direct a torch on objects currently in storage and update you on the continual development of our stores.

Shine a Light Project:

Here at Norfolk Museums Service we were lucky enough to secure funding from The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation for our Shine a Light Project which aims to develop our stored collections. Since 2012, we have been reorganising and developing our stores to provide visitors, researchers, and staff with access to our stored collections at their fingertips.

We have an incredible array of social and domestic history objects at The Norfolk Museums Collections Centre so if you would like to hear all about them please follow our blog.

If you’d like more updates from us you can follow us on Twitter @NMSCollMan and Facebook.
